*) I'll be doing SCAT JAZZ LOUNGE in Ft Worth on Saturday July 20th from 9pm until 1am with Jason Davis on sax and John Bryant on drums. Due to the tours this summer with Eric Burdon I'll only be able to do Scat Jazz Lounge once a month. Hope to see you all there when I'm there!!

*) Red and Brannen will be doing their own show at the JAZZ BAR in Edinburgh, Scotland during the Edinburgh Jazz and Blues Festival. We will be playing from 2-3:30am on Saturday night August 7th. This will be their first show at the Jazz Festival! And hopefully the start of many more European appearances!!




Regular Gigs


LAMBERT'S is a great restaurant and music venue in downtown Austin. They won the Austin Music Award's Best New Music Venue at SXSW in 2008 and we are pleased to be part of the music there. Great food and primo performance space with very interesting acts every night of the week. During the month of December and January we will be performing with Red on Hammond B3, Ephraim Owens on trumpet and on drums Brannen Temple. It is on the corner of Guadalupe and 2nd downtown. We play from 7:30-ish - 9:30-ish or thereabouts... no cover... This is some SERIOUS JAZZ we throw down at Lamberts!!!...

I will be doing the ELEPHANT ROOM JAZZ JAM hosted by Mike Mordecai from 9:30pm-1:30am every other Monday and on other occasions as well. I'm the house piano player which means I'm there for the entire gig, but depending on what piano players show up, I may not play except the first hour or so and then every so often through the night (sometimes it feels like Mike goes to the bullpen for the left-hander if a difficult song or odd key with a singer requires me to play on that particular number). I have a lot of hang time and there are always good new musicians in town so I'm able to talk and listen to players as well. Come on down!

EVERY TUESDAY from 10pm - 1am at the CONTINENTAL CLUB GALLERY upstairs from the CONTINENTAL CLUB on Congress Avenue in South Austin with Ephraim Owens Experience - Brannen Temple on drums and Yours truly on Hammond B3. During July, August and September, Red and Brannen will be holding down the fort for Ephraim who will be on tour with SHERYL CROW along with horn-section mate Shelley Carrol. Ephraim will be back in October. Have FUN!!! Music will continue when Red and Brannen are on the road during August and Seprtember with ERIC BURDON and the ANIMALS and WE will be back in town a few dates during that time.
